The preamble of the Lenten cycle began on February 5th with the opening of the Triodion and the reading of the Gospel of the Publican and Pharisee. It is hard to believe that in 10 weeks the celebration of Pascha will take place.
The Archdiocesan website provides a number of resources during the Lenten cycle. You may log on to http://lent.goarch.org/.
Clean/Pure Monday begins on February 27. It is customary in our church for the sacrament of Holy Unction to be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. There are a number of other Lenten Services that are celebrated throughout the week. Begin you Lenten preparations!
