The Annunciation Cathedral Greek Heritage Festival is truly a labor of love by our parishioners. Months of preparation goes into the planning and presentation of this event. In addition to Greek cuisine, music and dance, we highlight our Orthodox faith.

The success of our annual festival depends on the support of all of our parishioners. Volunteers are needed in all activity areas. Please set aside some time to help your Church during this major once-a-year fundraiser. Friends and family are welcome; help our community make this the best Greek Festival ever! Proceeds from our Festival will assist our church in continuing its cultural and community programs and ministries.

HAVE MORE FUN AT THE FESTIVAL
Volunteering for our Greek Heritage Festival is a GREAT way to experience the culture, traditions, and heritage of the oldest Greek Orthodox Community in Baltimore. In addition, you get to be a part of the “back-stage” scene and fun of the Festival, while making an important contribution to the welfare and future of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. We are always in need of dedicated and responsible volunteers to help maintain the high quality of this annual event, the most significant fundraiser our Church organizes and hosts.

VOLUNTEER OBLIGATIONS
Volunteers are the mainstays of the Greek Heritage Festival – without their dedication and effort, we could not put the Festival on each year and our Church would literally not survive. Each volunteer represents the “face” of the Greek Heritage Festival and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and thereby is an ambassador for our Church. The Greek Heritage Festival expects that volunteers will be enthusiastic (it’s hard not to be!), friendly, helpful, and professional at all times during their volunteer shifts.

WHAT CAN I VOLUNTEER FOR?
There are MANY different types of jobs for which we need volunteers for before and during the Festival ranging from food preparation assistance and food service to selling Greek pastries and beverages to chairing a committee. There are also many different options for WHEN you can volunteer.

HOW DO I VOLUNTEER?
All you need to do to become a volunteer is fill out the volunteer sign-up form and drop it off or mail it to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 24 W. Preston Street , Baltimore, MD 21201. You may also contact Diane Homberg at diane_homberg@csx.com or Nikki Anagnostou at nikkianagnostou@aol.com . A festival representative will contact you in response with further information. Thank you so much!
